Wally personified many qualities that are admirable: he always treated people with respect no matter their age, class, talent, race, creed, etc.; never was an unkind word heard from him; Wally was a gifted story teller who always had time for a tale; although his talent was huge, he never pushed it anyone; he lived life with great dignity in spite of obstacles and challenges that would have gotten the best of most people; Wally loved his daughters, his entire family, and really really really loved Dawn. We mourn his loss, while meanwhile he is having a fabulous reunion with band members and family! His favorite drum set is missing... I think he took it with him!

To Wally's wonderful family, My sincerest condolences. I have known Wally for many years, and he was an awesome man as all of you know. I have spent many nites listening to his music all over the north country. I dont ever remember Wally having a bad word to say about anyone. He was a great person and always upbeat. Again, My deepest sympathys to all of you. A long time family friend.
