Warrensburg:
Mary E. Weiler, 52, of Orton Drive, passed away peacefully, Thursday, November 22, 2007 at her home following a long illness.
Born August 4, 1955 in Painview, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Sprague) Wulfken and Joseph Wulfken of Plainview.
Mary graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Plainview and completed her nursing studies in Syossett.
She married Kenneth R. Weiler on June 2, 1979 in Plainview.
For over 15 years, she worked in the nursing field at the Woodbury Nursing Home in Woodbury.
Mary and Ken settled in Levittown and raised their two sons. She was known for her true passion of helping and working with the elderly.
The couple relocated to the Warrensburg area in 1993 to be closer to family and friends.
Mary was a member of the Warrensburg Assembly of God Church. Her favorite pastime included crafts, crocheting and needlepoint. She loved being a mother and grandmother.
Besides her mother, her brother, William Wulfken also predeceased her.
Survivors besides her father, Joseph include her husband of 28 years, Ken of Warrensburg; her two sons, Joseph and Michael Weiler both of Warrensburg; her grandchildren, Brodie Kenneth and Grace Olivia Weiler; her brothers, Joseph Wulfken and his wife, Lois of Brentwood, John Wulfken and his wife, Tina of Warrensburg, Phillip Wulfken and his wife, Judy of Greenlawn, Charles Wulfken and his wife, Kathleen (Kim) of Warrensburg; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call on Mary’s family from 1-3 and 6-8 pm Sunday at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Vincent Iorio, Pastor of the Calvary Tabernacle Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Warrensburg Cemetery.
Mary’s family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to Dr. Joseph Mihindu and the nursing staff at the Glens Falls Hospital and Renal Center for the exceptional care she received.
