Nan,
We love you with all our heart. You will be missed beyond belief. You have touched all of our lives in so many ways. You inspired all of us to be better people, to find humor in the world around us, and to love unconditionally. It's not easy to say goodbye, and I wish I was there when Pop Pop and Bub welcomed you home.
Nan, you have reminded us all that time passes too quickly. You have always had a unique way to teach us, inspire us, and motivate us to cherish every moment together. We will carry your spirit with us whenever we go. You will be missed. Love always!

Irene was my neighbor when I lived on Hudson Street. We became very good friends and I loved to receive her calls saying "Well, what is the gossip today?" I would go over and sit on her porch with her and we would visit. RIP Irene, you will be missed. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend.

Dear Extended Hall Family,
I have met some of you, but feel as though I know you all well, introduced through Irene's stories of phone calls, fishing trips, shared meals, gifts, graduations and more. How proud Irene was of the men and women you all became, parents who raised loving, respectful children, who worked and studied and achieved so much. She built, through you, a legacy that lives on among us.
For me, she lives in the twinkle of her stories, fruit of that Baker story-telling gene. I recall tales the Baker kids snapping sprouts off potatoes down in the bin - a chore that turned into a potato-throwing free-for-all; the gypsies camped in the field in summer, colorful laundry draped over fences on washday; the traveling peddlar allowed in only when Lee Baker was home; the grandmother across the road afraid of thunder; Mable Baker who could make a meal out of anything, bake a cake decorated with wintergreen berries and read novels out loud to Lee at night, while kids eavesdropped on the stairs.
Irene shared some of her stories for the historical society "Quarterly," I'd like to feature stories of her in our March issue. When you have time, please email me or mail to PO Box 7, Athol, NY 12810. Thanks for sharing your wonderful mother with us. Perky

To the Hall Family, It is with much sadness I hear of your Moms passing. I was honored to know her as a co-worker for many years and what a witty ,fun lady she was . Of course Rick I also remember her as the Mom following you!!! Her love for her family and the pride she had in each of you was obvious every day. My thoughts and memories of her will always remain. I'm sure she and your father are back at their little camp together, enjoying some fishing !! My thoughts are with all of you. Chris Stark

My deepest sympathies to the Halls. Your mom was a sweetheart, she was always nice and we all had the greatest respect for her. She was another adopted mom growing up. We knew not to argue with her !! ALways saw her smile and loved her wit. I am saddened at your loss but I will always smile when I think of her. My condolences to all of you.
