Please share a memory of Frederick to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Warrensburg: Frederick K. Bialas, 85, of Warrensburg, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Glens Falls Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. A familiar figure around town, Fred Bialas had a kind word for everyone he met. Born in Greenpoint in Brooklyn, Fred lived there for thirty years. Then he met Ann Marie at Kenoza Lake, NY in the Summer of 1962. They married a year later on July 13, 1963. Their journey took them from Manhassett, NY to Ossining, NY and finally to Warrensburg. Fred loved it here. His interest in gardening helped create the show place that was his home in the mountains. He was frequently seen outdoors with his Tilly hat making things perfect. Fred worked as a buyer for the Port Authority of NY and NJ, trying to save government money. It is not surprising that while he was in the hospital, he me with the dietician at Glens Falls Hospital explaining how they could save a lot of money elimination unnecessary items from their food trays. Fred will be missed by the merchants in the area. He loved his daily rounds to all his favorite stores. Friends may call on Fred’s family from 10 am to 11 am, Friday, July 1, 2016 at St. Cecilia’s RC Church, 3802 Main St., Warrensburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, at the church with Fr. Paul Cox, officiating. Rite of Committal will follow in Warrensburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Ann Marie prefers a gift be given to support the ministry of St. Cecilia's Church. Rest in peace, Fred.
