Obituary of Bruce H. Sherman

Queensbury: Bruce H. Sherman, 36, formerly of Thurman passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by family and friends, following a courageous battle with brain cancer. Born May 25, 1979 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Bruce and Patti Sherman of Thurman and Darlene (French) Sherman of Warrensburg. Bruce was a graduate of Warrensburg Central School, class of 1997. He married Keri L. Randall on October 30, 2010 at Hovey Pond in Queensbury. Bruce was previously employed as a Correction Officer at the Warren County Jail, and most recently worked as an Operator at Finch Paper. Besides spending time with his family, Bruce enjoyed building race cars and Chevrolet Cameros with friends, hunting and building guns with his dad, and riding around the yard on his lawn tractor with his son and best buddy, Alex “The Sherman Tank” and his four-wheeler, with his step-daughter, Karley. His newest passion was riding his Harley Davidson Deuce and becoming a member of the Kadeuces. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife, Keri Sherman, of Queensbury; his son, Alex Sherman; a step-daughter, Karley Barber; sister, Carla (Sherman) Steves; his special nieces and nephew whom he adored, Dustin, Audrey, and Calista Steves; his in-laws, Jay and Cindy Randall of Queensbury; sisters-in-law, Danielle (George) Bourdeau and Melody (Kenny) Randall; brother-in-law, Shawn (Christine) Randall; nieces and nephews, Nicole, Shaun, Kaitlyn, Cody, Genna, Lexi, Shea, and Ryan; and special little girl, Joelle. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. Friends may call on Bruce’s family from 5 to 8 pm, Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate his life will take place at 11 am, Wednesday, at the funeral home with Rev. Nancy Barrows, Pastor of the Free Methodist Church of Warrensburg, officiating. Burial will follow in Bolton Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Bruce’s memory to the American Brain Tumor Association 8550 W.
