Well it's been a while now. My timing is terrible. How I would have liked to interview Mr. Manfrini. What a remarkable man. I ran into his story while researching the blind wrestlers of the NY Institute for the Blind and the 23rd Street Y. There were quite a few, but Manfrini's accomplishments were unparalleled.
There will come a day when the tears of sorrow will softly flow into tears of remembrance...and your heart will begin healing itself...and grieving will be interrupted by episodes of joy...and you will hear the whisper of hope.
