Obituary of Winston C. Hayes

Chesterown: Winston C. Hayes, 25 of the Chestertown – Warrensburg area, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born July 10, 1981 in Gloversville, he was the son of Francis C. Hayes of Chestertown and Kathleen (Roble) Hayes of Clayton. Winston graduated from the Lake Luzerne High School and Saratoga BOCES in 2000. He later worked for J R Pratt Excavating of Minerva. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and four-wheeling. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends listening to music. He will be missed by all. He is predeceased by his grandfather, Cecil Hayes and his uncle Jeffery Hayes. Survivors besides his parents include his step mother, Fader Manzi; his step siblings, Karen Allen, Lisa Bennet, and David Barton; his maternal grandmother, Catherine Hayes of North Creek; his paternal grandmother, Martha Wroble of Clayton; his paternal grandfather, Winston Wroble of Cooperstown; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call on Winston’s family from 6-8 pm Wednesday at the Alexander Funeral Home, Inc, 4479 State Rt. 28, North River. Funeral services will be conducted 10 am Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Doug Roberts officiating. Internment will follow in the Minerva Baptist Cemetery. A gathering with family and friends will take place following the funeral service.
