Warrensburg: Dennis M. Prosser, 66, of Burdick Avenue, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 24, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born July 11, 1951 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Gertrude (Crandall) Prosser of Warrensburg and the late John Prosser. Denny was a dedicated employee at Warrensburg Central School where he worked as a custodian for nearly 30 years. He married Doris Clark-LaFountain on July 1, 2000. Besides spending time with his family, he was a gambling man at heart, spending many evenings playing poker, betting on his horses, scratch off tickets, as well as fishing, family gatherings, and horseshoes. Besides his father, he is predeceased by his brother, Robert Tennant and sister, Marsha Barrett. Besides his mother, he is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Doris Prosser of Warrensburg; his children, Dennis Prosser, Jr., of Warrensburg, Angela Prosser of Middletown, OH, Chrissy Metcalf of PA, and Melinda Nitsche of Lake Luzerne; his siblings, John Tennant of Warrensburg, Patty Bills of Warrensburg, Brenda Johnson of Warrensburg, Clinton Prosser of Lake George, Suzanne Neville of Lake Luzerne, and Shelly Goucher of Hadley; as well as several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Denny’s family from 4 to 6 pm, Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate his life will immediately follow the visitation at 6 pm, at the funeral home. Spring burial will be conducted in Warrensburg Cemetery.
