Ruth Ann Messick of Saratoga Springs, NY posted a condolence

Nell was one of the earliest members of Heritage Hunters of Saratoga County, a genealogy and history interest group. We visited many times and always talked about genealogy. She showed up at a meeting even though she was told she should not leave the house. People who chase garage sales are not even close to genealogists when it comes to getting to a meeting. Loads of people brought loads of items and their genealogies to share at Ancestor Connection Day. Nell would not have missed it for any reason.
I had lost touch and did not know any family members to contact. Am sorry to hear of her passing but the days of connecting with her ancestors has just begun. I hope to meet my Stetson and Alden ancestors someday and get the missing information. Nell is probably very busy meeting them all.

My mother and father bought the Fell Funeral Home in Fort Ann. My mother was friendly with Nellie and they used to write through the years. Mother died last fall at the age of 96. Her last visit to see Nellie was Christmas 2006 I believe. On behalf of the family, I offer you our sympathy and prayers.

To Dale and Members of Nell's family:
As Queensbury Town Historian,
I remember Nell fondly and her love and strong interest in history and genealogy. We had done research together on some of her favorite hard questions.
With regrets that I am not able to attend her graveside service on Tuesday.
Dr. Marilyn J. Van Dyke, Town of Queensbury Historian and Executive
Director of Warren County HIstorical Society.

Janelle, Krista and Dale,
I was so sorry to hear about Gramma Heath. She was a special lady, I will remember fondly all the years she was my Gramma, too. Especially cruising in the camper with her, she always drove so fast! And LAFA field days and her love of all dogs.
If there is anything at all I can do, please don't hesitate. I'm thinking of you all, with love,
Heather and family
