So sorry to hear of Mrs. Tessier's passing, and that I missed the services, as I certainly would have loved to have honored her in person. It is times like these that we stop and reflect of the impact a teacher has had. I remember sitting along the window of her class, and just waiting for one of her classic lines, like "Look that up in your Funk and Wagnalls"! She had a profound impact on my love of math, and confidence in my abilities, that I went on to pursue math both education and to this day in my career over 30+ years later. She challenged all of us to rise to our best. Thank you so much, and may you RIP. Condolences to her dear family. {{hugs}}

I have many fond memories of math class and "Ma Tessier" as she was affectionately known at South High. It was one of the classes many of us actually looked forward to each day. Her mission was to teach and help others, for which she earned an A+. May she rest in peace. Dave Allard, class of '65.

So very sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Tessier. She had the greatest impact on my life of any teacher ever. She once sent home a deficiency report for me for an A- and said I was not working up to my capacity and of course she was right. She helped me through some of the toughest times and truly effected my life. She will be a great loss for the world.

Mrs. Tessier Was my high school math teacher who I realized at the time was a special person. Tremendous teacher, who gave tough love when needed. You knew you would do great in her class if you worked at it. She was the one teacher who would come to watch me play tennis. Renewed our friendship several years ago. For that I will always be greatful. With love to her entire family. My condolences to all.

The sting of death seem unbearable at this time. Please accept my sympathy for I know that this is a very difficult time for you, having lost loved ones myself in the past. Please know that our loving heavenly father knows and understands the many pains that you bear, at this time. Talk to God in prayer: (Psalms 55:22). The Holy Scriptures assures us that our loved ones will live again by means of the resurrection. Please read John 5:28-29. What a wonderful time that will be! Have faith in these promises of God. May God's words bring comfort to you and the whole family at this sad time.

Mrs. Tessier was the best math teacher I ever had and a brilliant teacher period. I had her in 10th grade for geometry, and after failing trig in Mr. Gorman's class had Mrs. T. again in 12th where I passed trig. She was very old-fashioned, and I think some of that rubbed off on me and influenced my style of teaching. I can still hear her chiding the class "Oh you're full of soup!" if someone didn't remember the steps in a proof. Or "Next week at 2 o'clock!" if someone said something that didn't ring true. Mrs. T. sent Christmas cards to me and my brothers for years after we graduated. It was an honor to speak with her from my first job teaching in El Paso to get advice, and later from here in Kansas. She was a great lady, and I wish I had kept better contact with her these last years. RIP. Prayers always.

I am so sad to hear of Cameron's passing. She was such an amazing teacher and influence in my life. Our teacher/student relationship made me realize the potential I had in myself to pursue a career that also let me use my talents as an instructor. The irony of it all is when she became one of MY students! She was a pleasure to have in class, she always came to class prepared, and she was very attentive in class! Such a loss to education as a whole, and the community at large. Mrs. Tessier, you will be greatly missed! Cindy (McCabe) Trombley
