Dearest Bill and Jim;
When I think of coach Cranker the word that comes to me time after time is FAIR.It didn't seem to matter to him that you weren't the best athlete so long a you got a chance to participate.
THANKS coach for giveing this akward/clumbsy kid a chance to play in the game of life.
I will always remember to pass on that chance and think about the COACH. Tom Steves

To Mary, Bonnie, Bill and Jim and families-I am very sad to hear of the recent passing of Coach Cranker and I offer to all of you my sincere compassion as you face this most difficult time. Mrs. Cranker and Bonnie--I'd also like you to know that just thinking about your family has brought up many warm memories of my childhood in Warrensburg. Your family was very much a part of those special times for me--especially our 4-H group at your house. Bonnie, I picture you always with your artist pad and your giggle--at that time, the only thing I could draw better than you were the "horses" (just kidding!) I do miss those days and I thank you for all the good times spent together--and I am certainly remembering Coach Cranker with that twinkle in his eye. much love, Jeanne

Mary,Bonnie,Jim,Bill,and families,I was one of the lucky ones to be a part of History at WCS caused by coach Stan Cranker. I was a cheerleader for the 5 years that coach cranker and his teams were undefeated something that hadnever been done not only at WCS but in the entire Adirondack League. A man of few words and great respect for all and all respected him. Not only was I lucky enough to be taught by him but lucky enough to be involved in my adult life as part of WCS faculaty socials. The dinners and awards and the banquets were memories I will cherished forever. I always looked forward to them because the party didn"t start until THE CRANKERS,THE FRANKS,and THE CUDNEYS got there.My thoughts and prayers are with you all in your time of need. I wish I were closer so I could pay my respects in person and to see you all once again. Diane

To all the Cranker family: I can't say enough good things about "Coach". He was always a very pleasant, happy, outgoing man who had a smile for everybody. He was the nicest man I've ever met. I'm sure your loss is felt by many. May your memories and God's love bring you peace during these difficult times. I for one will really miss him.

I am sorry that I am not able to attend Stanley's funeral...Too far to travel...
Stanley and I graduated from Fultonville Central School. We were two of a total of 22 in the class in 1942. There are so many great memories, too many to share now. The last time we talked was at our class reunion a good many years ago at the Holiday Inn in Johnstown...There were so many good memories that I have of Stanley and his brother Arthur.
Stanley will be missed. My prayer are with Arthur and the rest of the family.

We were sad to learn of Stan's passing...When we think of Stan we recall his great sense of humor and his love of sailing. We went out on his sail boat with Jencey Cudney and Stan and enjoyed it so much! Stan was so proud of his boys and I remember their adventure hiking the appellation trail years ago. May God bless Stan and his entire family at this difficult time of loss and rememberance. Dennis
