David S. Webster, 49, of Oak Street, passed away, Monday, April 2, 2018 after being stricken at his home following a long illness.
Born May 18, 1968 in Schenectady, he was the son of Delbert and Joan (Thomas) Webster of Stony Creek.
Graduated from Warrensburg Christian Academy and went on to graduate from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia as a paramedic. Shortly after his graduation, he took a position with the City of Philadelphia Fire Department as well as Philadelphia PD SWAT Team. He was a certified HAZMAT first responder and a Philadelphia Fire Instructor. Following his retirement from fire service, he worked with Associated Auctioneers for a decade as a warehouse manager.
David moved back to New York state in 2016 to be closer to his family.
Besides spending time with his beloved family, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and refinishing homes.
He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Harold and Eloise Thomas and paternal grandparents, Marcus and Pearl Webster.
Left to cherish his memory besides his loving parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Lazer of Warrensburg and their 3 year old son, Wyatt Webster; his daughter David Ann “D. Ann” Webster of Philadelphia; one sister, Johanna Webster of Stony Creek; his oldest nephew, Jason Mosher whom he considered his little brother and Jason’s wife, Emily of Glens Falls; mother-in-law, Barbara Lazer; brother-in-law, Chris Lazer; nieces and nephews, Benjamin, Emily, Schuyler, and Julia; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends may call on David’s family from 6 to 8, pm, Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
A brief prayer service will conclude the visitation at 8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Warrensburg EMS or to the American Lung Association.
