Athol: Carol A. Hall, 58, of Shanahan Road, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Glens Falls Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born February 10, 1957 in Syracuse, she was the daughter of the late Andrew L. and Wilhelmina C. (Pierce) Bartlett. Carol married Hial P. Hall, III on June 30, 1972. The couple resided in Warrensburg before relocating to Thurman, and enjoyed 37 years of marriage. She was a dedicated mother who balanced raising her children and working outside the home. For many years she was employed by the Sagamore Resort and Warrensburg Laundry & Dry Cleaning. In addition to spending time with her family, Carol also made time for her friends; she enjoyed playing cards, board games, and would often just stop in for a cup of coffee and visit. Besides her parents, Carol is predeceased by her beloved husband, Hial P. Hall, III, a brother, Andrew Bartlett, and brother-in-law, Floyd Planty. She is survived by her children, Hial P. Hall, IV of Saratoga, Renee Hall of Warrensburg, and Andrew Hall and his wife, Evelyn, of Thurman; four wonderful grandchildren, Andrew and Destiny Warrington, and Catherine and Mable Hall; her siblings, Catherine Needham, Rickie Bartlett and his fiancée, Darcie Carpenter, Joan Hathaway and her husband, Bruce, Gloria Planty, Cindy Mahler and her husband, Jim, Laurie Viele and her husband, Marvin, and Patricia Bartlett and her companion, Jerry Perry. She also leaves behind her cousin, Betty Clayfield and her son, Thomas, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends may call on Carol’s family from 4 to 6 pm, Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A memorial service to celebrate her life will immediately follow the visitation at 6 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Nancy Barrow, Pastor of the Warrensburg Free Methodist Church, officiating. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Carol’s memory to a charity of one’s choice. Carol’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff on Tower 2 at Glens Falls Hospital for the outstanding care that she received throughout her illness.
