Obituary of William O. Lawrence

North River: William O. Lawrence, 79, of Shields Road, passed away peacefully, Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the Glens Falls Hospital with his loving family at his side. Born September 16, 1931 in North Creek, he was the son of the late Theodore and Blanche (Charlebois) Lawrence. Bill was a lifelong resident of the area and served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Helen I. Harvey on June 23, 1956. Bill was a wonderful father to his three sons and he was very proud of them. He was always willing to help anyone and everyone, at all times. He will be missed and loved by his family, friends and the neighborhood. Besides his parents, his brothers, Ted Jr, John and George and his sisters, Helen and Ruth have all predeceased him. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years, Helen Lawrence of North River; his three sons, Gary Lawrence and his wife, Sally of Wevertown, Billy Lawrence and his wife, Sis of Johnsburg, and Scott Lawrence and his wife, Cathy of Ballston Lake; his granddaughters, Jessica Monroe of Glens Falls, Brittany Lawrence of Warrensburg, and Katy Cole of Middleburg and a great granddaughter, Addison Cole also of Middleburg; his two brothers, Francis and Robert and his sister, Blanche; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
