Obituary of Audrey L. Masten

North Creek: Audrey L. Masten, 84, of East Holcomb Street, passed away peacefully, Friday, October 19, 2018 at her home after a long and hard-fought battle against scleroderma and its complications. Born April 25, 1934 in Little Falls, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Frieda (Kraft) Stock. Audrey proudly served her country in the U.S. Navy from February 1953 to June 1954 stationed in San Francisco. She married Jack Masten June 25, 1955. Audrey grew up in St. Johnsville, and raised her family in Saratoga Springs before retiring to North Creek, spending many winters in Florida. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed painting, bridge and other card and board games, puzzles, knitting, baking, and old movies. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jodi LaRock (Don) of Westport, James Masten (Pam) of North Creek, Jeffrey Masten (Linda) of Salt Lake City, UT, and Jana Murphy (Ed) of Deleon Springs, FL; grandchildren, Marcie LaRock, Tim LaRock, David Masten, Amy Amell, Joe Siemen, Melissa Masten, and Katie Masten; great-grandchildren, Sawyer Graham, Peyton Graham, Colby Gage, Morgan Amell, and Ayden Amell; siblings, Arthur Stock (Mary Ann), Alan Stock (Debbie), and Daryl Wroblewski (Frank); as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and forever friends, Pauline and Cora Lee. Friends may call on Audrey’s family from 4 to 5:30 pm, Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the Calvary Bible Church, 2530 State Route 28, Wevertown. A memorial service to celebrate her life will immediately follow the visitation at 5:30, at the church with Pastor Jonathan Rayder, presiding. Burial with military honors will be conducted at Gerald B. H. Solomon, Saratoga National Cemetery at the convenience of her family.
