I was in the choir at Toaz Jr High from 1966 - 69 and sang with Mr. Nickerson. The repertoire we sang was incredibly high-level for a Junior High. He directed our production of "Oklahoma" and another classmate just put the entire recording up on youtube. Such a wonderful memory brought to life...and Mr. Nickerson was the reason we, as 12 - 14 year olds, were able to perform so well. I am a music teacher today and he is one of the reasons why. I am so sorry not to be able to tell him "Thank you" in person.

Our deepest sympathy for your loss, Janet. And we'll miss knowing that a dear friend from times long past is gone.
Our strongest image of Bill is as Nanki Poo in SLOC's Mikado. That was in 1961 during the year we were in Schenectady and members of Bill's choir at Pilgrim Congregational ... and became friends with you and Bill.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Jan, James, Kate and all of Bill's extended family:
Bill was a great friend and an important member of the Museum community - he will be missed greatly as both. His reputation at the Museum was 'if you need to be sure something gets done' call Bill. Bill served as carpenter, greeter, docent and esteemed member of the Board of Trustees. Of course we could never expect to miss Bill more than his family, but the Museum family will certainly be second in line.
Rest peacefully friend and college
