Obituary of Mark P. Corr

Warrensburg: Mark P. Corr, 52, of Horicon Avenue, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, April 14, 2017 at his home. Born May 6, 1964 in County Cork, Ireland, he was the son of Fiona (Rogers) Corr and the late Kevin Corr. Mark grew up in Leopards Town Drive, Black Rock County Dublin, Ireland. He married Ilena Taylor on October 16, 1999 in East Hampton and shortly after, relocated to Warrensburg in 2002. He was a loving husband and father and he enjoyed spending time with his children whom brought him great joy. Mark worked as a hospitality manager at several local restaurants and hotels, and made many great friends along the way. He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Ilena Corr of Warrensburg; his children, Erin and Ronan Corr of Warrensburg; his sisters, Niamh Corr and her husband, Ben Carey, of Dublin, Ireland and Roisin Corr and her husband, Philippe Lacourt, of Thionville, France; his mother and father-in-law, Sandra and Fred Ferrara of Brant Lake; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Mark’s family from 4 to 6 pm, Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A memorial service to celebrate his life will immediately follow the visitation at 6 pm, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Mark’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
