She was the perfect grandmother to me and Zaid and the kindest person I ever knew. Every summer, around this time she would've taken a grandchild for a week to go places like Montreal, Ithaca, Ny, Montpeier and Burlington, Ottawa, etc. As I enter eigth grade, She was my favorite person I will have ever met. Ill miss you, Jommy.

Joanna, John, and your families - I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was an inspiration to me as I began my career at WCS, and after she retired, I enjoyed running into her when we were out grocery shopping and catching up on school and family. She was indeed a strong woman, and you are both a testament to her. Take care and God bless.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Mandy for several years at SMTMS, ate lunch with her and enjoyed many good laughs with her. She was a wonderful woman who was passionate about education and life. May God Bless.

I am so sorry to read of Mrs. Barnes passing. I had her as a teacher when I was a student at Hadley-Luzerne School. Although she currently lived less than a mile from my home, I never got the chance to reconnect with her. My condolences to her family; may she rest in peace.

Mandie and I carpooled for several years from Warrensburg to Lake Luzerne. We shared many stories about raising our children. Her VW didn't have a properly working heater. I held a hose on the windshield so that Mandie could see the road. Rest in peace, Nancy

I am in a state of shock...Mandie gone...how could that be? Often , especially in troubled times she was there. I called her my pioneer woman. When we first met 48 years ago her hair was down to her "butt" and she was smoking a corncob pipe. I wondered what the district had done hiring this "hippie". Over the years we bonded so tightly that she became not just my friend but my sister. We already had plans for a get-together in April prior to her surgery. I am not ashamed to admit that I loved her. I will continue to think of her and say prayers for her heavenly intentions. Anita
