Obituary of Wolfgang E Kardelky

Riparius: Wolfgang E. Kardelky, 86, of State Route 8, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Glens Falls Hospital. Born June 3, 1928 in Germany, he was the son of the late Alfred and Louese Kardelky. He immigrated to The United States in the 1950’s, where he resided in New York City for some time before relocating to Riparius following his retirement, where he spent many weekends enjoying the beauty of the Adirondacks. He married Margaret (Frank) Meyer in March 1997 in Brooklyn. In his younger years, Wolfgang enjoyed boating, kayaking, swimming, and skiing, and most recently spent much of his time woodworking and sampling the local fare. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Robert Kardelky and his companion, Renee Horton, of East Poestenkill, Astrid Brandt and her husband, Rolf, of Bethel, CT, Caroline Meyer of Hampton, New Brunswick, and Eric Meyer and his wife, Cheryl, of Clearwater, FL; Katrina, Andrew, Abby, Emily, Brigitta, Derek, Alexandra, Alanna, Max, and Michael; one great-grandson, Ethan; a sister, Ursula Incorvia; and his niece, Anastasia Law. Friends may call on Wolfgang’s family from 2 - 4 pm, Sunday, May 24, at Alexander Funeral Home, Inc., 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate his life will immediately follow the visitation at 4 pm, Sunday, at the funeral home with Fr.
