Wiley E. “Coyote” O’Dell, 60, of State Route 28N, passed away suddenly, Saturday, November 23, 2013, due to natural causes.
Born February 22, 1953 in Ticonderoga, he was the oldest son of the late Franklin and Mina (O’Dell) Collard.
Wiley was a lifelong resident of the area. He lived his life as a free spirit, enjoying everyone and everything to the fullest.
His focus was never on the task of accomplishments, but rather on experiencing the wonderment of life’s journey.
He was known as the notorious Adirondack rebel; to know him was to love him. His children, who had unconditional love for their father, will forever hold on to the memories created through the years.
Besides his parents, Wiley is predeceased by a sister, Wanda Thissell.
He is survived by his enduring companion, Karol Millington; children, LaWanda Biles, and her husband, Wayne, Wiley O’Dell II, David O’Dell and his wife, Katherine, Bridgett Jones and her companion, Leonard Bills, Jessie O’Dell and her fiancée, Wade Brown, Sueanne Greene and her husband, Dan; his siblings, Weslie Collard and his companion, Linda Cwikla, Wendy Marr and her husband, Robert, Whitney Morehouse and her husband, Frank, Emily Hammond and her husband, Gregory; a half-sister, Linda Rose; grandchildren, Elijsha, Camron, Bailey, Aubrey, Audrey; and a great-granddaughter, Hailey. He also leaves behind his faithful companion, Rosie Beagle, and several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
At Wiley’s request there will be no calling hours scheduled.
A celebration of life will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.
