Obituary of Frances A. Auer

Thurman: Frances A. Auer, 78, formerly of Bowen Hill Road, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at the Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in North Creek. Born October 18, 1930 in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Anna (Mauer) Huggard. Frances met George J. Auer in Lake George in 1955. The couple was married on June 29, 1957 in the Bronx. Frances was employed with Sinclair Oil Company in New York before becoming a stay home mother and raising her daughter. She also worked at a Temp agency in the city before she and her husband retired to the north-country in 1990. Her husband, George passed away July 13, 1993 after 35 years of marriage. Frances was a communicant of St. Cecilia’s RC Church in Warrensburg. She was a member of the YMCA, The Center of Independent Living, and the Glens Falls Hospital Guild. Her favorite past times included spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, swimming, and painting. Survivors include her daughter, Anne Marie Mosher and her husband, Robert of Athol; Grandchildren: Scott, Cole, Savannah, and Cassius, all of Athol; Step-grandchildren: Jennifer Weber and her husband, Ben of Fort Eustis, VA; Robert L. Mosher and his fiancée, Sabrina of Warrensburg; brother, Daniel Huggard of Long Island; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am on Monday, November 10, at St. Cecilia’s RC Church, Main St., Warrensburg, with Fr. Paul Cox, officiating. Rite of Committal will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne. There are no calling hours scheduled.
