Brenda A. Cleveland, 55, of River Street, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 27, 2018 at Glens Falls Hospital following a brief illness with her loving husband by her side.
Born October 21, 1962 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Alton “Fred” Weidman of Warrensburg and the late Madeleine “Midge” (Wilmot) Weidman.
She married John J. Cleveland on October 24, 1998 at the Warrensburg First United Methodist Church.
Brenda thoroughly enjoyed helping her husband, John run their florist business, A Little Touch of Country from their home for 5 years. She was his right-hand woman and partner in crime, managing the finances, orders, deliveries, and assembling the arrangements.
She also enjoyed the outdoors and taking in all the Adirondacks have to offer. She had a love for any animal, but especially her cats, Munchkin, Pooh Bear, and Dazie Blu. She also collected angel and moose décor.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 20 years, John Cleveland of Warrensburg; her three siblings and their families; a very special cousin, Michelle Couzzo of Amsterdam; her “adopted” nephews, Dustin Hall, Jayce Tabano, and “adopted” niece, Dominique Tabano; her niece, Sarah Cleveland and her companion, Scott Dewar and their son, Preston James Dewar; two God-children, Mackenzie and Duncan Blydenburgh; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Friends may call on Brenda’s family from 1 to 3 pm, Thursday, August 2, 2018, at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will immediately follow the visitation at 3 pm, at the funeral home with Sister Linda Hogan, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Adirondack Save A Stray, 4880 State Route 9N, Corinth, NY 12822.
