Obituary of Donald F. Killian

Warrensburg: Donald F. Killian, Sr., 64, formerly of Arcade, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at his home, following a long illness. Born May 21, 1949 in Warsaw, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Ella (Bookmiller) Killian. Don proudly served his country in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict before his honorable discharge in 1970. He married Jean E. Donohue on June 13, 1980 in Delevan, NY. The couple relocated to the Warrensburg in 2008, after many years of camping in the area. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his step-mother, Clara (Welninski) Killian, a sister, Dolores Killian, a half-brother, Timothy Killian, and brother-in-law, Gary Barber. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Jean Killian of Warrensburg; his children, Donald F. Killian, Jr., and his children, Megan, Evan, Mallarie, of Rochester, and Brandon K. Killian and his wife, Beth, and their children, Kirstin, and Kassidy, of Arcade; his first wife and mother of his children, Mary Hope Conway of AZ; his siblings, Ray Killian and his wife, Sandy, Jim Killian, and his wife, Kathy, Ron Killian, and his wife, Judy, Dorathy Barber, Doris Ellis, and her husband, Bob, and Rita Conroy, and her husband, Bob; his half brother, Thomas Killian, and his wife, Tessey; a half sister, Darlene Langdon; and his dog-daughters, Missy and Diamond; aunts, Milda (Donohue) Burns, and her children, Ann Schumacher and Peter Burns, and his wife, Diana, and their families, and Dorothy Cudworth, and her family. He also leaves behind several additional aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. At Donald’s request, there are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled. Services will be conducted privately, at the convenience of his family. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Don’s name to the North Country Hardship Fund, P.O.
