Obituary of Forrest Scott Bacon

Bakers Mills:
Forrest Scott Bacon, 51, of Old Bakers Mills Rd., passed away, Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at the Glens Falls Hospital following a long illness.
Born September 8, 1954, he was the son of the late Daniel and Edna (Sears) Bacon.
Forrest was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a US Army veteran and served in Vietnam.
Over the years, Forrest worked for G.E. in Fort Edward, Native Textiles and most recently with R.J. Sweet Lumber Co. in Warrensburg.
He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed camping and fishing.
Besides his parents, his wife, Kris, and brothers, Walter “Butch” Bacon and Willie Bacon have all predeceased him.
Survivors include his two aunts, Candy Dalaba of Bakers Mills, Gertrude “Trudy” Dixon and her husband, Ronald of Kingsbury; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 2-4 pm Sunday at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
Funeral services will follow the visitation at 4 pm Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ron Allen, Pastor of the Sodom Community Church officiating.
Spring burial will take place in Bates Cemetery, Johnsburg.
Memorials may take the form of donations to the Sodom Community Church.
