Obituary of Brenda J. Beadnell

Brenda J. Beadnell, 72, of Sanford St., passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born March 27, 1942 at the home of her grandparents in Stony Creek, she was the daughter of the late Malangton “Lank” and Edith (Combs) Bills.
Brenda was a graduate of Warrensburg Central School, class of 1960 and later attended Adirondack Community College.
She married her soulmate, John Beadnell on July 9, 1960, passing away on the couple’s 54th wedding anniversary.
In 1969 Brenda began her employment with General Electric in Fort Edward, from where she retired in 2001 after 32 years of dedicated service.
Her hobbies included camping, climbing, and exploring the Adirondack Mountains, traveling with her husband, and riding on the back of his red motorcycle. When she wasn’t outdoors, she could often be found cooking, crocheting, and knitting.
Second to John, Brenda’s greatest love was volunteering, she loved helping people. She connected with High Peaks Hospice in 1994 and was still active with the organization until her death. She was a member of the Community of St. Cecilia, assisting at the gathering place, North Country Ministry, and Baby Place, and was also a Warren County Ombudsman for the Office of the Aging.
Besides her parents, Brenda was predeceased by her granddaughter, Katie Beadnell.
Survivors include her beloved husband, John Beadnell; a daughter, Betsey (Mark) Beadnell; two sons, Rickey (Rosemary) Beadnell and Larry (Joyce) Beadnell; a special daughter-in-law, Angie Bazinet; 12 grandchildren, Sarah (Spencer) Baxter, Joscelyn (Roger) Myers, Jacquelyn, Jordan, Lloyd, Alyssa, Ava, Aden, David, Matthew, and Ryan Beadnell; a great-grandson, Mason Myers; her brother, Charles Bills and two step-grandchildren, Baylie Chamberlain and Trevor Azaert.
At Brenda’s request there will be no calling hours scheduled.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church, 3802 Main St., Warrensburg, with Fr. Paul Cox presiding.
Rite of Committal will follow in Warrensburg Cemetery.
Brenda’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at High Peaks Hospice, as well as the many friends and family that sent cards and well wishes during this difficult time.
