Obituary of Nancy C. Dupuis

Please share a memory of Nancy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
North Creek: Nancy C. (Fuller, Allard) Dupuis, 71 of North Creek, released her earthly bonds at 7:43PM on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Adirondack Tri County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her son Scott and daughter Cherie where by her side in her days before her passing, holding her hand right through the moment she made her transition from this life to the next. She has been called home, and now holds the hand of Jesus; he has erased her pain. Nancy has suffered many years of illness and is finally free. Born July 17, 1943 (at 7:43 AM) in Glens Falls, Nancy is the daughter of the late Merritt and Mary Elvira (Tassi) Fuller both of North Creek. She graduated from Johnsburg Central School in 1962, where she was affectionately known as “Charlie,” and later attended the Albany Business College. She worked at Grand Union in North Creek and Warrensburg before being forced to retire in 1993 due to her illness. She fought a slow and agonizing battle for over 20 years, living a full a life as could be allowed – she set a million goals and made them all. She enjoyed knitting and reading, swimming & spending time by the pool, spending time with family and “playing in the dirt” of her gardens in her able years. Her deepest loves were her grandchildren, music and God. Nancy was a past member of the North Creek Fire Company Auxiliary, past President of the Gore Mountain Seniors, was an avid member of the Millennium Chorale (aka North Country Singers) until she was no longer able. In her younger years she taught tap dance and ballet lessons with her mother. Nancy is survived by her son Scott Allard (Ann Woodard) and daughter Cherie (Allard) Ferguson (Dreu Briggs) both of North Creek, her grandsons Patrick Prouty and his wife Kate of Rochester and Aaron Ferguson also of Rochester, her granddaughters Brittney Allard (David McFarren) of Argyle, and Courtney Allard of North River, her first great-grandbaby, due in September, Gage Joseph McFarren, her niece Laura (Lewis) Watson of New Hampshire, her brother Richard Fuller and his wife Joann of Fort Edward, and her sister Judy DeLong of Virginia as well as several cousins and special friends at day care and the community. At Nancy’s request, there are no calling hours scheduled. A Celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at the North Creek Fire house, 134 Main Street in North Creek on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Refreshments and fellowship will be enjoyed after her remembrance. Internment will take place privately in Union Cemetery with her beloved parents at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Nancy’s name to the Adirondack Tri county Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 112 Ski Bowl Road, North Creek 12853. Her family would wish to extend their sincerest thanks to Dr. Way who has seen this woman defeat more odds over the years, the physicians at Hudson Headwaters, Glens Falls Hospital and last but not least the wonderful staff at Adirondack Tri County, who made her last days on this earth happy, safe and dignified. Thank you for taking care of your mother when we no longer could. We are eternally grateful. Please visit www.alexanderfh.net for online guest book and condolences.
