Janet Fuller, 84, of Woodward Ave., passed away, Monday, April 6, 2009 at the Glens Falls Hospital following a short illness.
Born April 11, 1924 in Westbrook, Maine, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Smith) Daly.
Janet married Edward L. Fuller on December 27, 1945 in Westbrook, Maine following his return from serving his country.
The couple resided and raised their family in North Creek and Pottersville. She spent many years as the secretary to the Principal at the Pottersville / North Warren Schools. They retired to Warrensburg in 1984 so they could be closer to the Adirondack Red Wings Hockey games in Glens Falls.
She and her husband were longtime members of the Warrensburg First United Methodist Church, where Janet loved singing in the choir. They will be remembered for their love of dancing and bowling.
Her husband, Ed, passed away on August 6, 2008 after 62 years of marriage. Her two brothers, George and James Daly, have also predeceased her.
Survivors include her son, Thomas W. Fuller and his wife, Amy, of Chestertown; her daughter, Debbie Graves of Glens Falls; grandchildren, Kelly Seeley and her husband, Scott, Erin Hunnewell and her husband, Rob, Joseph Shields and his wife, Nikki, Sarah Fuller; numerous great grandchildren and sister in law, Jeanette Daly of Westbrook, ME.
She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and her beloved dog, Skipper.
Friends may call on Janet’s family from 6-8 pm this evening (Tuesday) at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 4 pm Wednesday at the Warrensburg First United Methodist Church, 3890 Main Street, Warrensburg with the Rev. Dawn Robbins, Pastor officiating.
Janet’s family will be available one hour prior to the service at the church to receive friends.
