Obituary of Scott G. Read

Please share a memory of Scott to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ballston Spa: Scott G. Read 1954-2018 in accommodating Scott's wishes, this is not an obituary simply his wishes... On Thursday, October 11, 2018 I lost the love of my life, my soul mate, and wonderful father to our son Devin and Scott's son Christopher. His last year saw struggles with health and we all rallied around him. Any life that he touched was touched forever. His gift of storytelling and his love for life was infectious. Growing up in California in the 60's was his Alma-mater, he was so proud of growing up in a small town in California during a golden age that was filled with music, love, and rock n' roll. As a musician himself, our life was filled with his music. He was truly an American hippy! To Scott life was a party to be lived to the fullest and he did. We did not know we would lose him so early in life, but his peaceful passing speaks to his being welcomed into the arms of those who passed before him. We plan to have a celebration of life for all in December so that the near and far are able to let him know how dear he was to us all, details to come. Our thanks to everyone who has already sent your messages of love. They will see us through this difficult time. Thank you to my cousin, John Alexander and wife Lisa, his son David & daughter Ashley for helping me through this difficult time. My brother and sisters, friends and neighbors, and all my Albany Medical Center family I feel blessed to be surrounded by so much love and support. -Kim Read
