Obituary of Terry Lynn Durkin

Fort Edward: Terry L. Durkin, 52, of Fort Edward, passed away peacefully, Monday, January 21, at the Glens Falls Hospital following a long illness. Terry was born on June 2, 1955 in Glens Falls. She was the daughter of the late Mary (Squires) Durkin. Terry enjoyed time spent with her precious grandchildren, watching them play and grow. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, puzzles, and watching cooking shows. Terry looked forward to her visits from family and friends. Terry was predeceased by her mother, and her son, Joseph Lee Hammond in 2000. Survivors include her children: Dixie Durkin of Glens Falls; Brian Hammond of Chestertown; Steven and his wife, Amanda of Hudson Falls; her former companion and father of her children, Brion Hammond Sr.; three grandchildren: Amber, Emma, and Andon. She is also survived by her siblings: Tina Durkin, Roger Durkin, and Raymond Durkin of Warrensburg, as well as several aunts, uncles, and nieces. Friends may call on Terry’s family from 5-7 pm, Thursday evening at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 7 pm Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Lee B. Call, Pastor of the Faith Baptist Church in Warrensburg officiating. Spring burial will take place in the Federal Flats Cemetery, Olmstedville. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Heart Association.
