My thoughts and prayers are with you Cathy, Sarah and family. John was such a warm and loving soul who would to anything for anyone. John became apart of our lives many many years ago when I began babysitting for Sarah and Luke as children. He continued on with becoming best friends and riding buddies with my dad Mark. May you all find comfort in knowing he was loved and valued as a friend.

Janice and I share our deepest sympathy during your time of sorrow. Although I only remember John as a baby many years ago, the passing of Uncle Jack and Aunt Beverly's son came as I shock when my mother, Glenna (McClure) shanahan provided me with a copy of John's obituary. John is now in a place where he will feel no pain or sorrow and is free to look down and admire his family. We have made a small contribution to his grandchildren's college fund in his memory.
love, Mike and Janice shanahan

Dear Bev and Jack: My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I just don't know what to say. I am just so sorry. I am so thankful that Jackie and Frank have been able to comfort both of you as you comforted me when Buzzy died.
Tammy and Glenn send their sympathy also, and when I told Glenn, he said to tell Bev the same thing he told you at the hospital the day Buzzy died and he said, he hopes that at least it will make you smile.
All my love to you. Mary

Please accept my condolences; I wanted to let you know that you have my greatest sympathy.
John was more than just a wonderful person; he was a great father and friend. He was always there with a smile on his face welcoming and considerate to everyone he greeted and knew. My heart is truly saddened, but I am comforted by the thought that he is now with Lucas and will always be looking down upon us.
I know that his passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of all those who knew him. There are many memories that will never be forgotten; and he will always be in my heart.
My apologies go out to you and your family. I regret not being able to be there but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
