Franklin B. Augusta, 71, formerly of North River passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 at Glens Falls Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born June 2, 1941 in North River, he was the son of the late Samuel M. and Nellie E. (Gorley) Augusta.
Franklin attended Johnsburg Central School.
He was employed as a common laborer at Great Eastern Lumber Co. in North Creek.
Franklin enjoyed fishing and country western.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, William Lindquist and Carl Lindquist, and a sister-in-law, Halah Augusta.
Franklin is survived by four children, Robin Hozley of Corinth, Sonja Rossi of Saratoga, Robert Augusta of Amsterdam, and Crystal Augusta of Hudson Falls; a brother, Samuel Augusta of Warrensburg; a sister, Arlene Blanchard and her husband, Shirley of Queensbury. He also leaves behind several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 12, 2013 in St. James Cemetery, North Creek.
