Obituary of Joanne Lynn Sutliff

BAKERS MILLS:  We are deeply saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Joanne L. Sutliff, who died as the result of a tragic accident on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Johnsburg, NY.

Joanne was born on April 27, 1962, in Glens Falls, New York, to the late Pauline Augusta. She cared for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Tri-County Nursing Home. Joanne also enjoyed a long career at the North Creek Laundromat before retiring from the Warren County Fish Hatchery after eight and a half years of service.

Joanne found joy in the outdoors and loved canoeing and hiking with her beloved dog, Ruby. She also cherished motorcycle trips with her companion, Rod Crospey, before his passing. Above all, Joanne treasured the time she spent with her family. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother to her beloved granddaughter, Reagin, who recently celebrated her 16th birthday. The love they shared was one of the brightest parts of Joanne's life.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Joanne is predeceased by her mother Pauline Augusta; brother William August; companion Rod Crospey and her cherished dog Jada.

Joanne is survived by her loving son, Matthew Augusta; her cherished granddaughter, Reagin Straight; her siblings, Mike Cleveland, Robyn Holzey, Kim Hull, and Gary Augusta; her special cousin, Brenda Ashline; and her faithful companion, her beloved dog, Ruby.

Visitation for Joanne's family and friends will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 5pm -  7pm at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY 12885.
