Obituary of Denise I. Conlon

Please share a memory of Denise to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

JOHNSBURG: Denise (West) Conlon of Johnsburg, New York, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family after a long illness.

Throughout the years, Denise spent much of her life working as a waitress. She was known for her strong work ethic, friendly personality, and warm smile. Most recently, she owned and managed an excavating business that she built with her longtime soulmate, Chuck "Frederick" Granger. Denise enjoyed meeting new people and cherished the many lasting friendships she made throughout her life.

To Denise, family was always the center of her world. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She treasured every moment spent with those she loved. Her home was filled with laughter, comfort, and compassion. Denise loved deeply and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Denise was predeceased by her father, Leopaul West; her sisters, Dori (West) Conlon and Darlene Walker; her longtime soulmate and fiancé, Chuck "Frederick" Granger; and her infant grandson, Zachary Smith.

Denise leaves behind her beloved mother, Margaret Norma West of North Creek; her siblings, Daryl West and his wife, Susie, of Warrensburg, David West and his wife, Jackie, of Argyle, Dawna Jackson of Brant Lake, and Diane Schlinski and her partner, George Warrington, of North Creek.

Denise is survived by her beloved children, Shawn Warrington and his wife, Penny Sue, of Johnsburg, Nichole Conlon and her spouse, Richard Millington, of Pottersville, William Conlon of Olmstedville, and Ashley Smith and her fiancé, Gideon Bezio, of Johnsburg.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Tyler M. Warrington and his wife, Molly, of Fort Ann; Kurtis M. Warrington and his wife, Haleigh, of Willsboro; Cody Millington of Pottersville; Orlando Conlon of Olmstedville; Autumn Smith of Johnsburg; Taylor Smith of Minerva; and Payton Millington of Pottersville.

Denise was especially proud of her beautiful great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and were truly the center of her universe: Kyndall Morgan Warrington and Kymber McKenzie Warrington of Willsboro, Lane Maverick Warrington of Fort Ann, and Owen Michael of Johnsburg. These great-grandbabies were her pride and joy.

Denise was also blessed with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whom she loved very much.

Although Denise has gained her golden heavenly wings, her love, compassion, and caring spirit will live on in the memories shared by all who knew her. Our hearts are filled with the lasting impressions and treasured memories she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always nearby."

At Denise's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Her family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date, which will be announced when arrangements are finalized.
