Please share a memory of Martin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

SOUTH GLENS FALLS:  Martin E. “Marty” Anable, 70 years old passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 15, 2026.

Marty was a beloved son, father, and grandfather. He was born on May 27, 1956, in Catskill to the late Henry and Muriel (Lynan) Anable.

During high school, Marty attended BOCES, where he studied autobody repair and discovered a passion that would shape his life's work. After graduating from Bolton Central School, he began his career as an autobody specialist, focusing on paint and detailing. Throughout the years, he worked at numerous shops in the communities of Rensselaer, Hoosick Falls, Greenwich, and Warrensburg before retiring in 2023.

Outside of work, Marty had a passion for riding his Harley-Davidson Breakout motorcycle and enjoyed countless adventures with family and friends on the open road. He was especially proud of the custom chopper he built by hand. Fishing on the Hudson River and Lake George brought him great joy and relaxation. Marty could often be found repairing something, especially if it had a small engine. Above all else, nothing compared to the love Marty had for his two daughters and grandchildren. His greatest happiness came from the time he spent with them, and the memories they shared will be treasured forever.

Besides his parents, Marty was predeceased by his stepmother Marie (Fabic) Anable; his siblings Henry “Spike” Anable, Thomas A. Anable and Jill I. Anable.

Left to cherish Marty's memory are his beloved daughters, Jamie (Jeremiah) Plumley and Jill (Adam) Burrell; his cherished grandchildren, Rilie West, Logan Plumley, Vance Tobin, and Walker Burrell; his brother, Robert (Gay) Anable;  his sister-in-law, Susan Anable; and his dear longtime friends, Eric Karlson, Chris Maynard, the Lemperle family, Tony Ripley, and Marty Davis. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many who will miss him dearly.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from Noon – 2pm at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY. A Celebration of Life will be held following the visitation at 3:30 p.m. at Fratenal Order of the Eagles, 80 Main St, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
