Obituary of Linda Louise Stevens

Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

WEVERTOWN:  In loving memory of our cherished sister, Linda Louise Stevens, who went to be with the Lord and be joined with her Mother and Father, on June 5, 2026. Linda was a resident at the Glens Falls Center for Rehab and Nursing at the time of her passing.

Like a gentle breeze, she graced our lives with her presence, her kindness, and always willing to offer a helping hand. Born on April 3, 1948 to the late Bernice Hutchins Stevens and Francis Stevens of Wevertown, NY.

Linda enjoyed going to church at the Pottersville United Methodist Church and (especially at the Riverside Campground, surrounded by the lull on the river), having picnics, and spending time with her relatives.  Linda loved her fuzzy pet canines, growing her tomatoes and watching soap operas on TV.  After completing licensed practical nursing training, she worked 22 years at the Warren County Skilled Nursing Facility.

Surviving Linda includes her sisters Betty A. Persons (Charles), Charlene Green, Brenda L. Van Guilder (Roger); brother Arnold F. Stevens (Joan) and her nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pottersville Methodist Church, PO Box 33, Pottersville, NY 12860, is requested.

Visitation for Linda’s family and friends will take place on Thursday June 11, 2026 from 10am – 11am at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY. A funeral service will follow visitation at 11am with Pastor Arnold Stevens and Pastor Kimberly Stevens-Townsend officiating.  Burial will follow immediately in Bates Cemetery, Rt. 8, Johnsburg, NY.
