Obituary of Gregory E. Towers
Please share a memory of Gregory to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
WARRENSBURG: Gregory Edward Towers Sr. of Warrensburg, NY passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2026 after a recent struggle with heart conditions.
Greg was born on June 19, 1964 in Corinth, NY. He built a life anchored in hard work, played harder, and loved hardest. He spent much of his life in the woods as a logger, and the last 12 years in the shop at Rounds Paving and Excavating as Head Mechanic - a gifted tradesman, he never met a problem he couldn’t solve.
Family meant the most to Greg. He is survived by his wife Heidi Reinemann-Towers; his children Ashley (Ian) Towers-Marrone, Cody Towers, and Gregory Towers Jr.; stepdaughters Heather Bosford, Ashlee Reinemann-Smith, Cheyenne Reinemann-Smith, and Kyla Reinemann-Smith; and grandchildren Kamryn, Colton, Hailey, Connor, Annabelle, Ava, Elijah, and Charlotte. He is also survived by his mother Eileen Winslow and mother-in-law Linda Reinemann; his siblings Carl (Jennifer) Winslow, Jenny (David) Parker, and Jesse (Tonya) Winslow; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Greg leaves behind a legacy that his family and friends will carry forward: his willingness to give the shirt off his back; his work ethic that taught his children that what is earned holds the most value; and his deep love of nature and belief in its power to heal.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, May 1 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Warren County Fish Hatchery on Echo Lake Road in Warrensburg, NY. The family would love to honor Greg by sharing stories - there is sure to be no shortage of those.
