Q: How did you meet Anita?
A: I don't recall the earliest years when I was with Anita. We were young children with 4 years between us. My mother and I (sometimes my Dad) would be visiting my grandmother, Juliet Stengel, for the summer at Pine Hill, the old, formally pink large house next door to the Behrs.
In the years I can recall we spent many days each summer on the studio grounds swimming, sunbathing and chatting with each other and my mother. Anita was always cheerful, respectful and unassuming. Such happy memories!
In later years I was able to visit her with different family members. She had become an invaluable volunteer to the Sembrich. They will miss her for her generosity and dedication.
With a heavy heart, I shall always miss her sweet spirit.

I knew Anita through being employed by several greenhouse businesses in the area, and appreciated her for her love of flowers, and for all she did for the Sembrich Museum and the community. She has left quite a legacy, and I know she will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to the family.

Anita shared wonderful flower bulbs from her garden - even though I could not get them to grow in my garden, I loved having them for a season. I'll always remember the many excellent discussions (and desserts) we shared in the Bolton Landing Book Club. Blessings, Anita, and thank you for the beautiful gifts you shared with your friends and community.

Q: How did you meet Anita?
A: After I married Steve Parisi in 1988 I joined him in his Bed and Breakfast that he had started in 1974. We became members of the B&B Association, which is where we met Anita and Charlie. We always enjoyed their company, and had many laughs over the year. Also enjoyed meeting Anita at the Sembrich. She will be greatly missed, a friend to many. Hope the three of them (Steve died in 2020 unexpectedly) will be telling stories of old times running a B&B

We have lovely memories from our stays in Bolton Landing in Hilltop Cottage. Anita was the soul of this place, always helpful with facts about Sembrich legacy or simple everyday things. And her pancakes were absolutely our favourite! We will keep her in our hearts
