Obituary of Simona L. Hall
Please share a memory of Simona to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
WARRENSBURG: Simona Lee Hall, age 57, passed away at home on January 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Simona was born on June 11, 1968, in Glens Falls, NY, to Linda Hall (Dingman) and the late Simeon Hall. She graduated from Warrensburg Central School in 1986 and continued her education on a singing scholarship at The College of Saint Rose, where she earned an associate degree in sociology. During her time at Saint Rose, Simona was especially proud of her semester abroad in London, which allowed her to backpack throughout the United Kingdom.
In her twenties, Simona moved to Florida, where she worked in the restaurant industry for more than 20 years. She spent much of that time managing the Sunflower Café, where she formed many friendships that became like family. Simona had a deep passion for music and dearly loved her cats. When asked where she was from, she proudly said she was from the “real” New York, always holding a special appreciation for the natural beauty of the Adirondacks, which she had enjoyed for the past ten years since returning home.
Simona enjoyed volunteering and had a compassionate heart, always concerned for those less fortunate. She liked spending time at Stewart’s visiting with friends and listening to music at the town concerts in Warrensburg. Her most precious moments were those spent with her “babies,” her great-nephews and niece, Chase, Ezra, and Lennon.
Simona was predeceased by her father, Simeon Hall; her grandparents, Simeon and Irene Hall and Charles and Jacqueline Dingman; her beloved “fur babies,” Nike and Soleil; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Left to cherish Simona’s memory are her mother, Linda Hall; her sister, Kim (Keith) Evans; her niece, Tosha Hall, and her partner, Jeremiah Millington, and their children, Chase, Ezra, and Lennon; her nephew, Nathan Evans, and his partner, Mario Mascaro; her beloved cat, Petunia; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Simona’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff of Tower 3 at Glens Falls Hospital and to High Peaks Hospice, especially Patty, Morgan, Stacy, Mel, and Megan.
Memorial donations may be made in Simona’s memory to Warrensburg EMS, P.O. Box 371, Warrensburg, NY 12885, or to the SPCA of Upstate New York, Inc., 588 Queensbury Avenue, Queensbury, NY 12804 (www.spcauny.org).
