Please share a memory of Geneva to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

WARRENSBURG: Geneva H. Morrison, 90, of Schroon River Road in Warrensburg, peacefully reunited with her beloved husband and daughters, with her family by her side, on December 25th, 2025.

Born Geneva Twiss on November 1, 1935, in Fort Ann, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Clara (Green) Twiss.

On October 23, 1953, Geneva and Edward P. Morrison began a loving partnership that lasted 55 years, cherishing life together until Edward’s passing in 2009. In 1974, they made Florida their home for 17 years before returning to the peaceful surroundings of Schroon River Road.

Geneva’s life was beautifully devoted to her family and the comforts of home. She cherished the simple joys of togetherness, especially during summer days spent along the Schroon River, where she and her loved ones made lasting memories. Geneva also found happiness in watching birds and caring for her flowers.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Geneva was preceded in death by her cherished daughters, Betty Ann Morrison and Marie Jean Olden. She was also predeceased by her seven siblings: sisters Marguerite Murphy and Florence Dunkley, and brothers Jesse, Walter, Winfred, Gerald, and Robert Twiss.

Geneva is lovingly remembered by her son William E. Morrison and his companion, Julia Norton of Chestertown; her granddaughters Darcy Baker and husband Gary of Warrensburg, and Gina (Olden) Leatherwood and husband Darren of Texas; her grandson Larry Morrison of Alabama; her great-grandchildren of Warrensburg, MacKenzie Ferrone and husband Chris, MacLane and Michael Baker, Amber & Ashley Morrison of Florida; great-great-granddaughter Sadeigh Fish of Warrensburg, and special niece Corasue Gebo of Hudson Falls.

Geneva’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Hudson Headwaters Homeward Bound program and High Peaks Hospice for the exceptional care and support provided. Their care helped Geneva fulfill her wish to remain in the comfort of her home.

A graveside service will take place at the Warrensburg Cemetery in the spring.
