Obituary of Karen L. Needham-Sears
Please share a memory of Karen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Warrensburg: Karen Needham passed away at Glens Falls Hospital on December 20, 2025, with her two daughters by her side.
Karen was born in Warrensburg in 1943 to the late Albert Middelton and Doris (Reynolds) Middleton. She attended Warrensburg Central School where she met her first husband, Richard Needham. They married in 1961.
Together they built a house in Warrensburg and raised their two daughters. Karen was always very proud that she designed and built her home, which she lived in until her death, at the age of 21.
In addition to raising her two children, Karen also had several jobs, including working at Animal Land and Magic Forest in Lake George.
Karen loved to bargain shop and prided herself on finding a deal. She knew how to stretch a dollar, a skill often overlooked today.
Later in life, she spent winters in Flagler Beach Florida. Accompanying her on her many journeys were her beloved dogs Jojo and Bobo.
Karen was a very caring and generous person. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She was always buying gifts for others and always helped when someone was in need.
Karen had many serious health issues in the last 12 years of her life, but she never complained and always kept her faith in God.
When discussing her legacy, she said she just wanted everyone to know that she did her best.
Predeceasing Karen are her parents, Albert Middleton and Doris (Reynolds) Middleton, and her sister Vicky (Middleton) McKinney.
Karen is survived by her beloved daughters, Robin Needham and Jill (Mike) Muratori, and her brother Daniel (Diane) Middleton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Malerie Muratori and Colton Muratori, and a nephew, Brian Baker.
Per Karen’s wishes, no services are scheduled.
