Obituary of William W. Lloyd

DIAMOND POINT:  William W. Lloyd, 92, of Diamond Point, NY passed away on December 17, 2025 at The Pines in Glens Falls, NY.

Bill was born at home in Warrensburg, NY, on July 14, 1933, to the late Wilbur and Marion (Wood) Lloyd. He graduated from Warrensburg Central School and went on to proudly serve in the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge.

During his high school years, Bill met the love of his life, Marie Cameron, whom he married on December 6, 1953. They shared 68 years of marriage before her passing in 2022.

Bill was employed by the telephone company,  retiring from Verizon as an installer and repairman. When not working, he took great pride in the home he built and enjoyed spending his time woodworking, wood carving, gardening and reading. He and Marie also devoted themselves to caring for his parents’ and in-laws’. After retiring, for 18 years Bill and Marie traveled to Zephyrhills, Florida, in their camper to spend winters with friends and family. In his earlier years, Bill also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Besides his parents and wife Marie, Bill is predeceased by his brothers Robert Lloyd and Thomas Lloyd.

Left to remember Bill are his children Randy (Carol) Lloyd of Ballston Spa, Lorrie (Mark) Schumacher of Erie, PA, and Chris (Jeanne) Lloyd of Clifton Park; brother Pete (Ann) Lloyd of Warrensburg; grandchildren Jenna Lloyd of Pittsford, Vt, Brett Lloyd of Ballston Spa, Eric Schumacher of Erie, PA, A.J. Schumacher of Chicago, IL, Caitlin (Michael) Traudt of Union, KY and Kelly (Jesse) Belleard of Groveland, FL; great grandchildren C.J. and Camden Traudt of Union, KY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends are invited to call on Bill’s family on Friday, January, 2, 2026 from 4pm – 6pm, at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY 12885. A funeral service will be conducted at 6pm.
