Obituary of David H. Coulman
NORTH CAROLINA: Former Warrensburg, NY resident David H. Coulman, 87, returned home to the Lord on December 16, 2025. He passed away peacefully at his home in Weldon, North Carolina.
David was born on April 5, 1938, at home in South Corinth, NY, to William Franklin and Ida Viola (Harvey) Coulman.
David joined the US Army in 1954 and served a tour in Seoul, South Korea. He then enlisted in the Army Reserves and eventually joined the Army National Guard, where he achieved the rank of Platoon Sergeant First Class. In total, David served the country for 28 years before retiring from the military in April 1982. He had an amazing work ethic and also worked a full 33 ½ year career with the state of NY at the NY College of Science and Forestry - Pack Demonstration Forest. After retirement he continued to work full-time in various jobs, including at Pine Lanes Bowling, Lake George, NY, and he worked for many years at Outdoor World Resort on Lake Gaston, NC.
David was married to the late Carol Ann Coulman (Burch) on 8/30/57, for 54 years. Together they had 6 children and raised them in Warrensburg, NY. They eventually moved to NC in 1994 to retire in the sunny south and live out their golden years.
David was preceded in death by his wife Carol, his son Timmy Ty Coulman, his grandsons Nathaniel Coulman and Jason Monroe, and his great-grandchildren Avah and Ace Coulman.
David leaves to cherish his memory his children: Arnold (wife Dianne) of Port Saint Lucie, FL; William Shawn (wife Chris) of Hamburg, NY; Cedric (wife Wendy) of South Glens Falls, NY; Juanita Periard (husband Michael) of Warrensburg, NY; and Franklin of Weldon, NC. He leaves his brother Sammuel (wife Doreen) of Walnut Grove, MO; his sisters Millie Mosher of Gansevoort, NY, and Wilma Williams (husband Phil) of Corinth, NY; and his brother-in-law William Curt Burch of Warrensburg, NY. He also leaves his grandchildren: Daniel Coulman, Christina Ferguson, Justin Coulman, Jeremy Taylor, Cedric D Coulman, Raymond Coulman, Ashley Coulman, Jessica Smith, Kayla Connelly, Brandon Bliss, and Kiara Coulman, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
