Obituary of Cheryl Lynn Olden

HUDSON FALLS:  Cheryl Lynn Planty-Olden, 70, of Hudson Falls, NY, formerly of Warrensburg, passed away at her home on December 7, 2025.

Cheryl was born on June 27, 1955, to the late Frank and Alice (Wolfe) Planty. She graduated from Warrensburg Central School and entered the workforce shortly after. Cheryl’s long-term career was as an Allstate agent, a position she held for over 30 years. She was very close with her boss, Kevin Crosby, and his wife, Michelle, who became like family to her.

Cheryl had a passion for cruising and enjoyed yearly trips with her best friends, Julie and John Myers. She had just returned from her latest cruise to the Caribbean. Cheryl also cherished her special bond with her cats, Max, Luna, and Raven.

Cheryl is survived by her son, Douglas J. Olden, and his wife, Kimberly Trapasso; grandchildren, Abigail, Riley, Madden, and Nash Olden; sisters, Penny (Jim) Brannon, Helen Planty, and Star (Randy) Rose; brothers, Frank Planty Jr., Randy (Estelle) Planty, and Shawn (Jennifer) Planty and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
