Obituary of Lee E. Schiavi

Please share a memory of Lee to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

WARRENSBURG:  Lee Schiavi, 97 of Warrensburg, NY and Wellington FL, passed away peacefully on Friday October 24, 2025.

She was born in Toronto, Canada and raised in Rochester NY.  As a child she cohosted a radio show with her father and was affectionately known as “The Jewish Shirley Temple.” Lee later moved to New York City, where she met the love of her life, Eugene “Geno” Schiavi.  In 1955, Geno and Lee established Northeastern Products Corporation.  They shared 59 wonderful years together before his passing in 2008.

Lee loved to travel, spend time with her family, and never missed an opportunity to go shopping – her favorite pastime.  Lee was passionate about the Arts, especially the Ballet and Broadway.  Her thoughtfulness of others was unrivaled.  If you met her only once, you could expect a birthday card from her every year.  In the early 1990’s she befriended her neighbors, the DeArmas family in Wellington, Florida, who became her cherished Florida family.

Lee was pre-deceased by her sister Lillian Brand.

Lee is survived by her loving children, Nancy (Keith) Wood, and Paul (Wendy) Schiavi, her cherished grandchildren, Kim Wood, Tom (Laura) Wood, Jennifer Schiavi and Paul Schiavi, and her beloved great grandchildren, Alex Schiavi, Luca Wood and a great-granddaughter expected in April, in addition her brother-in-law Bill Brand and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family asks that flowers be omitted and donations in honor of Lee be made to “The Power of Will”, PO Box 196, 300 North Dean Rd., Suite 5, Auburn, AL 36830. This was established in remembrance of her great nephew who lost his battle to Osteo-Sarcoma.

A memorial service will be held in the spring 2026.
