Obituary of Wayne E. Mattison

QUEENSBURY: Wayne E. Mattison, 56, of Queensbury, NY, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Wayne was born on April 17, 1969, in Glens Falls, NY, to Joyce Cooper and the late Arthur J. Mattison Sr. He earned his GED in 2008 and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in American History with concentration in American Revolution 2014, Bachelor degree with a concentration in the French and Indian War in 2016. He later achieved a master’s degree in American Military History from the American Military University, part of the American Public University System in 2021.
In August 1993, on a blind date, Wayne met the love of his life, Jenny Ingraham. They were married on September 2, 1995, in Crandall Park, and shared 30 wonderful years together.
Wayne was an ordained minister, a taxi driver, and most notably, the owner and operator of Adirondack Native Historical Preservation in Queensbury. He was deeply involved in his community, volunteering with The Open Door Mission and other faith-based organizations, the Warren County Historical Association, the Lake George Historical Association and other historical organizations.
In his free time, Wayne enjoyed listening to heavy metal music, taking spontaneous trips, cheering on his beloved New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys, and most of all, spending time with his family.
In addition to his father, Wayne was predeceased by his sister, Charlene Mattison.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Jenny Ingraham - Mattison; his children: Tasha Mattison , Fabian Ingraham, Jolissa Mattison ,and Joseph (Elizabeth) Foran; his grandchildren, Dante Ingraham, Saphira Ingraham, Jacob Ingraham, Evony Ingraham, and McKenna Ingraham; his mother, Joyce Cooper; his brothers, Arthur Mattison, Ernest (Cheryl) Mattison, and Joseph Mattison; his parents-in-law, Robert and Margaret Ingraham; his brother-in-law, Rodney (Sabonnie) Ingraham along with his god-daughter Jewel Ingraham; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
