Obituary of Marie Riegel

Lake George:

 Marie Riegel, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025 at her home at the age of 103.

Born February 10, 1922 in Long Island and raised in the Bronx, she brought light and laughter to every room she entered, and kindness to every life she touched.

 She was the heart of her family— a nurturer, and a quiet force of resilience. Together with her husband Francis (Frank) she built a life rooted in sacrifice and joy.

She is survived by her children, Marie, Frank, Charlie, Ed, and Matt; as well as 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom carries forward her legacy in their own way.

Friends may call on Marie’s family from 10 to 11 am, Friday, October 17, 2025 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 12 pm, at Sacred Heart RC Church, 50 Mohican St., Lake George.

Rite of Committal will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Lake George.
