Obituary of Chad T. Jones

Please share a memory of Chad to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

POTTERSVILLE:  On September 16, 2025, surrounded by his parents and friends, Chad (Jonesey) Jones peacefully slipped away.

Chad was born on August 4, 1973, he was the son of Charlotte and stepfather, Harris Hewitt, along with his father Ken Jones (Sherry Peet), and his sister, Michelle Jones. He lived his entire life in the Adirondack Mountains.

Chad was a proud graduate of North Warren Central School. Over the years, he held a variety of jobs, including groundskeeper at the Sagamore Golf Course, caretaker at Eagle Point State Campground, work at the Town of Horicon Transfer Station, and construction alongside his stepfather, Harris. Chad shared 14 wonderful years of marriage with his wife and best friend, Joanne, during which they enjoyed many adventures together.

Chad was a self-taught drummer and played with the band Paradise North for many years. He loved spending time at camp, especially sitting around the campfire with friends. He was also very artistic, with a passion for drawing, building models, and creating beautifully detailed miniature cabins.

Chad is predeceased by his wife Joanne (Logue) Jones.

He is survived by his mother Charlotte and her husband Harris Hewitt; his father Ken Jones and his partner, Sherry Peet; his sister Michelle Jones as well as multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, step children by marriage, God children, and so many, many, many friends that if we started to name you, we surely could not list you all. You know who you are! Chad also leaves his dog, his constant companion, Waylon.

Chad did not want a formal funeral.  Therefore, a Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025 beginning at 11am at the Horicon Town Hall in Brant Lake.

If you knew Chad, you know how much he loved storytelling. We invite you to bring your stories to share and to laugh together, just as Chad would have wanted.
