Obituary of Terrie L. MacCalus

Please share a memory of Terrie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

BAKERS MILLS:  Terrie Lynn Sanders MacCalus passed from this world to the next on Monday, August 25 at her home in Bakers Mills.

Terrie was born October 25, 1958, the third child of John J. Sanders and Beverly Russ Sanders.  Her early childhood was spent among the pines and waters of Antone and Dean Mountains in Hadley and she loved those places always.  She graduated from Hadley Luzerne Central School and lived in the area for several years before moving to New Jersey.

She was, for a time, an air force wife and later used her office skills to manage several small businesses in that state.  A love of learning led her to both computers and cameras and she was a skilled photographer.

When she moved back to New York in 2005, she settled into the mountains again and enjoyed the peace of her new home with her dogs and the wildlife around her.

Terrie’s husband, John MacCalus, her parents and her stepfather, Neil Sesselman, passed before her.

Left to miss her are her children, Robert Quillan II and his wife Jamie of Northville, Kaleigh Mayer and her partner Sara of Glens Falls, and Michael Mayer of New Jersey; grandchildren Alyssa Quillan, Robert Quillan III, and Carter Quillan , all of Northville; siblings Rosemarie Gardner of Lake Luzerne, Debra MacDonald of Katy, Texas, John Sanders of Lake Luzerne, Patricia Sanders of Glens Falls, Brian Sesselman of Lake Luzerne and Daniel Sesselman of Athol; and many nieces and nephews.

A private parting ceremony is planned for the family.
