Obituary of Seth E. Dunbar

NORTH CREEK: Seth E. Dunbar, 46, of North Creek, NY, passed away on July 28, 2025, at his home after a long battle with a chronic illness.

Seth was born on January 3, 1979, at Glens Falls Hospital to the late David Dunbar and Jana (Van Dusen) Dunbar. From a young age, Seth had a deep connection to the outdoors. He began working in the logging industry early in life, briefly relocating to Virginia, but his love for the Adirondacks brought him home. Upon returning, he founded Dunbar Logging in North Creek—a business he took great pride in, especially when working alongside his son.

Outside of work, Seth remained close to nature. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dirt biking, ATV riding, and spending time with friends. But nothing brought him more joy than being with his beloved twin children, Ethan and Cassandra (Cassie) Dunbar, whom he adored beyond words.

Seth was predeceased by his father, David Dunbar.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Ethan and Cassie Dunbar; his mother, Jana Dunbar; the mother of his children, Christina (Conti) Dunbar; his half-brother, Patrick (Kasey) Dunbar; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and his son's dog, Zoe, with whom Seth shared a special bond.

A celebration of Seth’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 5pm 8pm, at North Creek Ski Bowl, Ski Bowl Road, North Creek, NY.
