Obituary of Mildred L. Clark

Warrensburg: Mrs. Mildred L. Millie Duprey LaFountain Olden Clark, 81, of Oak St. went into the arms of the Lord Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving earthly family while entering through the golden gates, greeted by her heavenly family. Born September 10, 1931 in Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Laura (Barri) Duprey. Millie was a lifelong resident of the area who loved spending time with her family, and visiting with friends. She enjoyed touring the countryside and treasured her kittens, doggies, and chickens. She was employed by Warrensburg Laundry & Dry Cleaning and the former Merrill Magee House. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Michael LaFountain; a daughter, Lisa LaFountain; brothers, Ray “Ira” and Raymond Duprey; as well as her previous husbands, George “Pete” LaFountain and Joe Clark. Millie is survived by her six children, Doris Prosser and her husband, Denny, Sue Hopkins and her companion, John Tennant, Kevin Clark and his wife, Amy, all of Warrensburg, Eddie LaFountain and his wife, Charlene of Pottersville, Larry P. LaFountain of Hudson Falls, Clyde Clark and his wife, Linda “Lynn” of Northville; and a sister, Betty Maynard of Morrisonville. She also leaves behind several cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Friends are encouraged to celebrate her life at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Millie’s home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Millie’s family would like to thank High Peaks Hospice and Tammy VanDerwarker for the excellent care they provided throughout her illness, and to Jean Frasier, Millie’s lifelong friend for all of her support.
